Small Business Saturday
November 25

Support downtown Belfast merchants and restaurants on Saturday, November 26 for Small Business Saturday. You will be supporting our community and adding to the vibrancy that makes Belfast a place to live, work, and play.

The Early Bird gets the deals: Annual downtown-wide sale in Belfast! Deep discounts and promotions from retail shops and restaurants throughout downtown. Always the first Saturday in December.

Tree Lighting
December 2

Celebrate Christmastime downtown with the Annual Tree Lighting in Post Office Square. Annually the first Saturday in December, the same day as the downtown Annual Early Bird Sale.
 
The event begins at 4:30 p.m.

Menorah Lighting
December 7

Celebrate Hanukkah downtown! The annual menorah lighting will take place at sundown (4:00 p.m), during the first night of Hanukkah. The community celebrates with music and readings. 

The menorah will be lit during Hanukkah and remain so throughout the holiday. Sponsored by: 
Presented by the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce and  Belfast Parks and Recreation with an appearance by Santa. Activities from 2022 were: to:
 
-Decorate cookies provided by Delvino’s
-Make an ornament provided by Cornerspring Montesorri School
-Stroll a Story Walk provided by Belfast Free Library
-Take a horse-drawn family wagon rides from S&S Carriage Rides
-Caroling from Little River Baptist Church
-Enjoy Popcorn by Camden National Bank
-Hot chocolate provided by Waldo Community Action Partners
-Take a donated book home

Sip & Splurge returns on Thursday, December 14 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Downtown businesses will stay open late for a night of festive shopping.
