Drawing: Understanding the Head
March 4 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
New Classes and Workshops at Waterfall
Many classes and workshops are scheduled to begin during February and March at Waterfall Arts in Belfast. Some of the classes meet once a week, while others are one day intensive sessions. The instructors are local accomplished artists and experienced teachers.
For adults and older teens, there’s Screen Printing with Shawn Brewer on Saturday February 11, three levels of Color Theory and Painting with Kris Engman beginning February 24, Relief Printmaking with Brooke Vertin on February 28th, Hand building with Clay with Felicia Cinquegrana on February 27th and Drawing: Understanding the Head with Kris Engman on March 4th.
The afterschool programs are free or low cost, thanks to generous support by the Green Store, the Kennedy Family Foundation, the NLT Foundation, United Midcoast Charities and the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
All classes have minimum and maximum enrollment thresholds, so early registration will improve the chances of the class running and your slot in it. Partial scholarships for youth classes are available to those in need. You can find more information on classes and instructors and register online at waterfallarts.org or call 338-2222 during office hours, Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 5. Waterfall Arts is located at 256 High Street in Belfast.
