May 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Efficiency Maine and the Governor’s Energy Office Webinar – Energy-Efficiency Rebates & Tax Credits for Small Business Owners hosted by the SBA Maine District Office

Please join the SBA’s Maine District Office as we host representatives from the Governor’s Energy Office and Efficiency Maine who will provide information that will help Maine small businesses understand the rebates, loans, and tax credits available to them, as well as ways they can improve the energy efficiency of their businesses. We’ll hear about the Inflation Reduction Act Programs, loan offers available from the Efficiency Maine Green Bank, and relevant Efficiency Maine programs.

Featured on this webinar will be program managers from Efficiency Maine’s Commercial and Green Bank initiatives presenting on rebates, incentives, and loans for small businesses, and Allie Rand, Energy Policy Analyst from the Governor’s Energy Office, presenting on federal funding and tax incentives relevant to small businesses in Maine.

The Efficiency Maine Trust (Efficiency Maine) is the independent, quasi-state agency established to plan and implement energy efficiency programs in Maine. Through its suite of nationally recognized programs, Efficiency Maine provides consumer information, marketing support, demonstration pilots, discounts, rebates, loans, and other initiatives to promote high-efficiency equipment and operations that help Maine’s homes, businesses, and institutions reduce their energy costs and lower their greenhouse gas emissions.

Maine Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) is tasked with a wide range of activities relating to state energy policies, planning, and development responsible for several activities such as providing policy leadership and technical assistance, developing energy programs, monitoring energy markets, and reporting on heating fuel and energy prices. GEO works in partnership with various state agencies, federal and local officials, industry, nonprofit interests, and academia on energy issues.

Moderating the conversation and offering a quick overview of SBA programs and services will be Maine District Director, Diane Sturgeon.
