Ice Row with DoryWoman Rowing during the Belfast Ice Festival Weekend

February 24 - February 26

As a year-round service, DoryWoman Rowing is no stranger to ice!  Maine Guide Nicolle Littrell will offer Ice Rows in her dory boat as part of the special Ice Fest weekend in Belfast!  We’ll seek out and observe ice in Belfast harbor and/or up the Passagassawakeag River.  There is a wide variety of ice in the winter in this watershed, originating from both ends of this tidal waterway.  This can include river ice floes and bergy chunks, as well as ocean skim ice and slush.  We’ll also be on the lookout for wildlife that live here in the winter season, including loons, buffleheads and a variety of ducks, eagles and seals.  Depending on your interest and weather conditions, you may be able to try rowing!

The Ice Row can be booked privately for 2-3 people or as a mixed group of individuals.  Hot tea and a treat will be served to compliment your row.  Total on the water time for the row will be an hour to an hour and ten minutes.  To book your row, please visit
