BELFAST, MAINE. In December, the Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition will host a nature outing, a winter tree identification walk on the Belfast Rail Trail. Starting in January, BBWC will host a new program, “Be a Naturalist” with Cloe Chunn.
NATURE OUTING Winter Tree Identification Walk on the Belfast Rail Trail, Saturday, December 2
Learn or review your winter trees using clues other than leaves. The group will meet at 10am at the central parking lot on the Rail Trail, on outer High Street. The outing will involve two hours of walking and examining conifers and how to know bare trees by their twigs and bark. Dress appropriately for the weather. ADA accessible.
