    Description

Local nonprofits, Atlantic Challenge USA and Belfast Flying Shoes, jointly present the Gawler Family in a special fundraising concert on Friday, July 29, at 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Belfast. “Come one, come all!” for sea shanties, work songs, fiddle tunes, and the lush harmonies and beaming faces of these beloved Maine musicians: John & Ellen Gawler; their daughters Molly, Edith & Elsie; Bennett Konesni & Ethan Tischler. Proceeds benefit Atlantic Challenge USA, and their sailing and rowing programs on Bantry Bay gigs. Suggested admission for this benefit concert is $10-38, sliding scale. (Fun fact: Bantry Bay gigs have 10 oars and are 38′ long!) The First Baptist Church is at 95 High Street in Belfast. Doors open at 6:30pm. Masks are heartily requested. For details, visit www.belfastflyingshoes.org/calendar/ or www.atlanticchallengeusa.com, or contact belfastflyingshoes@gmail.com.
