The individual we are seeking should have extensive experience in boat yard operations and marine service. Personal experience with yachts, both power and sail, is desirable. While he or she does not need to be an expert in any one of the professions employed at the yard, a working knowledge of the trades and the associated vocabulary is essential. Good communication skills when working with both customers and the crew are required. Duties on assigned projects will include communicating with customers about their work, working with QuickBooks to create estimates and work orders, work with department heads to create project plans and schedule work, quality assurance and quality control. This individual will help sell work by overseeing fall inspections, organizing preparations for boat shows, and have an active hand in advertising and website management.

Belmont Boatworks is located 5 miles inland from Belfast harbor. We currently store and maintain approximately 100 boats on site, in a combination of inside and outside storage, and we serve non-storage customers throughout the mid-coast area. We offer a full range of services including expert mechanical and carpentry work, structural fiberglass repairs, wooden boat construction and restoration, rigging, and paint and varnish applied by spray and brush, with Awl Grip and gelcoat repairs a specialty.
